Membership

Membership Types:

Active Membership is open to all Registered Nurses and Student Nurses within Nova Scotia. Active membership (Registered Nurses) provides the right to vote on all issues, to hold office within the organization, and to attend all meetings. Associate (Registered Nurses or Student Nurses) membership provides the right to attend meetings and contribute to discussions within the group. Active membership - Current members of the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia, with an interest in Nursing Informatics and who have paid yearly NSNIG membership fees shall be voting members of the association. Membership with NSNIG qualifies you for a reduced membership rate with The Canadian Nursing Informatics Association (CNIA).

Associate membership - Associate members are not eligible to vote or hold office, associate members include Registered Nurses in other provinces, students enrolled in Nursing Education and Licensed Practical Nurse.

Other membership - Interested individuals may apply for membership and their applications will be considered on an individual basis by the Executive. These members will not be eligible to vote or hold office.

The registration fee for Active members is $20.00 per year. Associate / Other membership is $10.00 per year.
