Frontline Informatics Training

Frontline Informatics, the Canadian Nurses Association and COACH (Canada's Health Informatics Association) are pleased to present HITS (Health Informatics Training System). HITS is the premier training tool for healthcare professionals interested in learning about healthcare technologies. The HITS tool was developed in Europe and modified for Canada. It is used in countries around the world.

Whether you are looking for the HITS certificate to demonstrate your efforts for ongoing competency, or are preparing yourself for an upcoming systems implementation, HITS training is a good investment in your career. HITS is comprised of an introduction section and 8 learning modules. The introduction discusses informatics in Canada (what's happening and who's who).

As you proceed through the HITS course, there are sample quizzes and tests, a glossary of terms and the final exam. All of the work is done online and at your own pace. You should allocate an hour to an hour and a half for each module. The registration fee for HITS is $150 plus GST. The secure form will allow you to safely submit your credit card. After we have received your payment, we will send you your unique access information.

We hope you enjoy the HITS course and tell your colleagues about it.
